across Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire
During the lockdown period, Vision West of England has remained open, providing information, advice and guidance services over the phone and email.
During this time we have adapted the way we work and from 22nd June 2020 we will resume some safe face to face services that operate within the social distancing guidelines. Risk assessments have been conducted, our resource centre has been re-modelled and procedures have been put in place to allow us to offer an appointment based service either in our resource centre, a community hub or in your home.
Our Community Sight Loss Advisors are still available via the telephone or internet should you wish to talk to them and we are now able to expand this service to offer appointments in a safe space. If you would like to make an appointment please call us and we can talk you through the steps we have taken to provide support, information and guidance in a safe way.

Our new Telephone Befriending Service is now up-and-running. We are looking for friendly and confident volunteers to provide a welcome voice and emotional support to local people living with sight loss during this period of isolation – click below to find out more.
